PSG star, Kylian Mbappé, has made a return to training on Monday after being out with an ankle a few weeks ago.

Mbappe, whom coach Thomas Tuchel said, will take a miracle to be fit for Atalanta returning to training with his PSG teammates. This return, therefore, increases the chances of him facing Atalanta.

The teams will be meeting in Lisbon on Wednesday, and Mbappé had been ruled initially out of the clash after spraining his ankle during the Coupe de France Final against Saint-Etienne on July 24.

Two weeks down the line, Mbappe was named in the squad traveling to Portugal. The Champions League Final Eight tournament will be held in Lisbon.

PSG began training began in Faro on Sunday, with the morning temperature proving too hot for sessions. This forced the team to be training in the evenings.

According to reports, Mbappé, who missed the middle session, participated in part of the training. After missing the mid-session, he later returned to work with his teammates at the end.

It is hoped that he won’t suffer any setback, which could even rule him out of the tournament if the French Ligue 1 champions progressed to the semifinal.

Meanwhile, English referee, Anthony Taylor, will be the center referee of the clash while Stuart Attwell will be the VAR referee.

Gary Beswick and Adam Nunn will assist Taylor while Paul Tierney will also assist Attwell in the VAR room. Artur Dias of Portugal is the fourth official.

In September last year, Taylor was the one at the center during PSG’s 3-0 win over Real Madrid in the Champions League group stage. The Englishman was also the match referee during their game against Borussia Dortmund in the round of 16 in March, which they won 2-0 after losing the first leg 2-1.

This is the first time he will be officiating a game against Atalanta. Out of his eleven games involving Italian teams, they have won six,  drew one, and lost four. He was the one in charge during Inter’s 2-0 Europa League win over Getafe last week.
