AC Milan will be welcoming Sparta Prague to the Guiseppe Meazza in a UEFA Europa League fixture this week with the intention of extending their streak in the competition.
Stefano Pioli’s men are coming into the Group H game on the back of a 3-1 win over Celtic in the opening match.
AS Roma recently ended their 100 percent records in the league after playing a 3-3 draw last weekend. As a result of their form, the Rossoneri are the favourites to win this game. They have also been tipped to top the group.
Having suffered a thrashing against Lille, Sparta Prague will need to make amends against another in-form team.
It remains unknown if the Czech outfit will up it’s game against AC Milan and cerate a possible shock.
Having dropped a point for the first time this season against AS Roma, Milan will be going into the clash with one thing in mind – get back to winning ways as they will want to do the job in their backyard.
Pioli is expected to use the squad depth, having done an excellent job at AC Milan.
Both teams have met twice in the UEFA Champions League in 2004. The Serie side played an affair in the first meeting before securing an emphatic victory in the other.
After enduring a steep decline over the years, the Rossoneri now seemed to be one of Italy’s most resurgent forces.
Sparta Prague, on the other hand, has also enjoyed an excellent domestic season. However, they cannot afford to make the same mistake made against Lille tonight.
Despite being without Ante Rebic, Mateo Musacchio, and Matteo Gabbia, AC Milan still has the required players to prosecute the game and get a victory.
Although Milan will also be missing Gianluigi Donnarumma and Jens Petter Hauge due to positive COVID-19 results, Pioli is expected to have a comfortable ride.
But you can’t predict the round leather game.
