Bayern Munich rival Ajax for Brazilian star

Footballing activities may have been suspended due to the pandemic virus outbreak, but this, as hasn’t stopped the flow of transfer news around world football, as there have been reports that German Bundesliga giants; Bayern Munich are currently tracking Gremio’s, Forward Pepe.

However, due to the latest decision made by UEFA to postpone the Euro tournament by a year, we are set to witness another transfer season. Though the Bavarians spent heavily last summer, it is likely they continue this summer as they look to bolster their squad to have a deep in-depth of players.

The likes of Ivan Perisic, Phillippe Coutinho, joined the Munich outfit last summer, and the duo has failed to live up to expectations with the former nursing a niggling injury and the latter inconsistent in the season so far. There have been a lot of big names linked to the club, but it seems they have got a lot of cards to play at their hands and can come up with a surprise signing. The way Bayern have been brilliant in signing young talents have been phenomenal in the past few seasons, and it is not a surprise as they have been linked to Gremio’s young forward, Pepe.

According to local reports, Bayern has been showing a lot of interest in the talented young forward, and the same reports revealed that Bayern would face a tough test in getting their star from the Dutch side, Ajax.

Gremio’s forward Pepe has been in great form for his club as he has featured mostly on the left-wing this season as his statistics have been impressive so far, scoring eight goals and also the curator of three assists. It will be highly expected of him to replicate the form if he eventually makes a move to Europe.

Pepe joining the attacking ranks at Bayern will give the squad enough attacking options at the front with the likes of Robert Lewandowski Serge Gnabry, and  Kingsley Coman. But this particular transfer shouldn’t hinder their pursuit for Manchester City star and a prime target Leroy Sane as they need two new consistent forwards that will compete at all fronts.
