Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich is hoping to extend forward Thomas Miller contract by a couple of years

When you talk of Bayern, you think of the iconic forward Muller. The German international has always been the fan-favorite despite his dipping form in previous years, there have been doubts the veteran forward will remain at the club in search of opportunities abroad. However, such fears about exiting the club have been calmed as reports have claimed Muller and the club have kicked off initial talks to begin a two-year contract extension.

It is reported that both parties have reached a consensus about the two-year deal which will run through till 2023 which will see killer train the age of 33 years old by that time.

Considering this, the extension is something that will suit both parties as the club still have the chance to keep him for two more years and Miller has the chance to agree to a new deal again if he performs well in the next couple of years and he can still have the opportunity to win titles especially the much sought after Champions League.

There are a thousand and one reasons why this renewal should work out especially to Bayern. Foremost Bayern has been instrumental and phenomenal for the club this season and any club would want to employ his services as one of the best midfielders.

Another reason is that with the imminent appointment of Hansi Flick as permanent manager Muller will have more chance to play as he has established himself as an integral player under Flick’s formation and letting him go will be so disappointing and devastating.

It’s unimaginable to see Bayern without Muller in the team and all we could hope for is to see the club hierarchy to wrap up the deal which includes Manuel Neuer and David Alaba.
