Clubs given the go-ahead to Have Group Training in The La Liga From May 18

Spanish sides will have the opportunity of having a group of players training from Monday, May 18 with 14 teams in each group sessions ahead of a June restart.

The directive came from the health authorities in Spain to allow the clubs in the top flight to get into the next phase of return to train.

This will be done with all existing coronavirus prevention measures against the coronavirus in place.

This means that there will be restricted use of the training facilities and equipment, sanitation, media restrictions as well as social distancing.

When the La Liga resumes, all matches will be played behind closed doors, but the resumption will be allowed with regards to meeting up to public health conditions.

Also, there will be limited access and restrictions to all stadium.

Meanwhile, the La Liga is ready to fast track its 2019-20 season with the possibility of playing matches daily in June.

This is as a way of emulating the German top flight, Bundesliga, which resumed over the weekend behind closed door.

In a meeting between the La Liga bosses and Spanish Football Federation, it is said that the scheduling will be done in a way that no team will play two games within 72 hours.

This also means that matches could be played at late night at 11 pm due to the summer heat in June while the season could be finished as early as July 29.

Should this happen, it will be in line with Uefa’s plan to complete the current season in August with matches to be played behind closed doors.

“As things look now, I’m sure that we can finish the European season and this means Uefa competition. Games will have to be played without spectators.” Aleksander Ceferin was quoted on BBC

He also stated his hopes that the “majority” of domestic leagues will complete the season.
