Uncertainty looms in the National Super League match between Shabana and Kisumu Hotstars which was not played after the latter failed to show up for the game at the Narok Stadium on Saturday.
Shabana, currently fourth on the table with 38 points from 25 matches, were the home team and are now claiming a walk-over for which they would get three points and two goals.
However, reports suggest that Hotstars had requested for postponement of the match due to the government COVID-19 containment measures in place affecting 13 counties including Kisumu.
It is still unclear whether the request was approved but further reports suggest that as late as Thursday, the approval had not been given and therefore the match should have gone on.
