Real Madrid skipper Sergio Ramos, aftermath Sunday’s 2-0 win over Barcelona, has responded to Barcelona Defender Gerard Pique claims that Sunday’s Galacticos team was the worst he has faced.
Zinedine Zidane’s men had won the game 2-0 courtesy of two second-half goals from Vinicius Junior in the 71st minute before Mariano Diaz scored a late second just a moment after being substituted in.
The win ensured that Real Madrid returned back to the summit of the La Liga standings after going into the game with two points behind the Catalunya club.
Sergio Ramos replied that he cared less about how they get a win, but the win is the paramount thing for him and his team.
Ramos explained that everybody’s opinion is respected and stated that he would be glad to be victorious in El Clasico with the same poor performances the team posted in the first half of Sunday’s game.
He also stated that the game plan for both halves was different from the Los Blancos preferring to defend and go on the counter in the first half while in the second half, they went full attacking on the Quique Setien led team.
Furthermore, Zinedine Zidane, coach of Real Madrid, disclosed his satisfaction in his team’s display and stated that the team and players deserved the win for the hard work put into defending and attacking.
He also stated from his point of view that the first half was even although his team got better in the second half.
Meanwhile, Sergio Ramos believes he and his teammates will take all the games one step at a time as the La Liga still has a long stretch of schedule to go.
Real Madrid will travel to face Real Betis on the 8th of the month while FC Barcelona will host Real Sociedad at the Camp Nou a day earlier.
