On the day its members were gazetted, the Football Kenya Federation Caretaker Committee has cracked the whip.

The Justice (Rtd) Aaron Ringera-led committee resolved Friday to halt all the country’s major competitions.

This includes the FKF Premier League, the National Super League, National Division One League, the FKF Women’s Premier League as well as the FKF Women’s Division One league.

The suspension which takes effect immediately will last for a period of two weeks, starting today.

“The decision has been reached to ensure regularisation of the league activities across the country,” said Ringera in astatement.

“The committee will be engaging with clubs and other football stakeholders in due course,” it continued.

However, all the leagues running under the branches and sub-branches will continue as normal.

“We wish to reassure all lovers of Kenyan football that the committee will ensure smooth operation of all football activities across the country,” said Ringera.
