It is no longer news that Lyon striker, Memphis Depay and his partner Houssem Aouar, were about securing moves outside the club but the moves didn’t materialize.

Aouar changed his mind in the last minute to after reportedly agreeing on personal terms with Arsenal. This forced the Gunners to go for Thomas Partey.

Depay couldn’t secure his dream move to Barcelona due to the financial constraint the Catalan giant found itself.

Speaking on their future, Depay noted that Lyon is a big club, but he and Aouar want to go to one of the three biggest in the world.

ESPN has further reported that 22-year-old Aouar is waiting for the green light of Real Madrid, as he will prefer to play for the Galacticos than another club, while Depay awaits Barcelona. A move to the Catalan club will secure a reunion for Depay and his former national team coach, Ronald Koeman.

Meanwhile, Barcelona is reportedly monitoring the French playmaker too, although they are yet to express concrete interest in him.

With six months left on the deal of Depay, Le Gone is prepared to lose him for free while Aoaur still has a contract with the club till June 2022. They will therefore want his departure to cash in on him.

ESPN further reported that Arsenal, that recently sold Mesut Ozil to Fenerbache is still interested in him.

In another development, Manchester United is monitoring the progress of RC Lens defender Facundo Medina, and may make a move for him soon.

According to La Voix du Nord, the Red Devils are considering making an offer for the 21-year-old Argentine international.

The Ligue 1 club signed him for €3.6m from Club Atlético Talleres last summer. According to reports, United is considering making a €12m offer, with a loan back to Lens option until the end of the season.

In another development, OGC Nice is discussing with Fulham to bring Maxime Le Marchand back to the club. The talks have reportedly reached an advanced stage.

According to Téléfoot Chaine Nice wants the 31-year-old French central defender on loan from the English club till the end of the season.

Their interest in the defending ids following an injury to Brazilian central defender Dante and the other young defenders at the club has limited Ligue 1 experience. They want Maxime to partner William Saliba, who recently joined the club on loan from Arsenal.
