As the globe battle to contain the COVID-19 pandemic, there are some news of transfer speculation about Inter Milan.

There has been an agreement between the Nerrazurri and Bulgarian club, Botev Plovdiv, for the signature of 15-year-old Bulgarian sensation Nikola Iliev.

According to his agent, Kaloyan Ivanov, the young lad, was close to joining Ajax Amsterdam, but he felt the San Siro outfit is the right club for the creative midfielder who will be 16 in June. Iliev is already playing for Botev Plovdiv.

Speaking with Novapress, Ivanov said Inter’s sporting director, Piero Ausilio, was supposed to fly to Bulgaria and finalize the deal, but it was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has hit Italy hard. The country already recorded over 20,000 deaths from the epidemic. Due to the situation, the governing body of the game in the country is not sure of when action would resume after games were suspended.

Ivanov further said that if everything goes well, the midfielder will put pen to paper for the Nerazzurri this summer.

While stating that there will be no problems with the club over the move, he also revealed that the likes of Levski Sofia, CSKA, and Ludogorets wanted Illiev’s service, but they want him to continue his growth abroad.

Meanwhile, Banfield winger, Agustin Urzi, has said that several clubs like Inter Milan, AS Roma, Fiorentina, and Atletico Madrid wanted his service.

The Argentina U23 player who will turn 20 next month plays primarily via the left-wing, but can switch in between the flanks

Speaking via Instagram Live interview with TNT Sports, when asked to name the clubs that had approached him, he named Boca Juniors, Racing, Inter Milan, River Plate, AS Roma, Portugues champions,  Benfica, Spanish side Atletico Madrid amongst others.

He further noted that Fiorentina possibly inquired too, adding that most of the club who wanted him were Italian clubs who spoke to his agent and club.

The winger, however, said that he would prefer a move to England and preferably play for Manchester City, having watched them a lot.
