To this day, it is no secret to anyone that Messi is not happy at FC Barcelona, and that his relationship with the club is broken. The recent departure of Luis Suarez from the team has increased the Argentine superstar’s frustration and annoyance with the club.
Suarez and Messi have forged a deep friendship both on and off the pitch in the last six years. Together they have managed to make history for Barcelona and achieve great results.
Despite his outstanding contributions, Luis Suarez was no longer part of the club’s plans, and last week the transfer of the Uruguayan striker to Atlético de Madrid was completed.
Suarez’s departure greatly impacted Messi, who paid tribute to the player with a farewell message on his Instagram. “We’re going to miss you so much. We spent many years together, drank many mates, had many lunches and many dinners. So many things we will never forget, all the time we spent together. It will be strange to see you in another shirt and much more to come up against you on the pitch.” Messi wrote.
In addition to the emotional messages for his old teammate, Messi, also showed his frustration and anger with the way the club treated Suarez: “You deserved a farewell that fit with who you are: one of the most important players in the history of the club. Someone who achieved great things for the team and on an individual level. You did not deserve for them to throw you out like they did. But the truth is that at this stage nothing surprises me anymore”.
Messi’s anger at Barcelona seems that is not going to end until the player can leave the club.
