AS Roma has agreed on a deal with Juventus for the transfer of striker Edin Dzeko. The Bosnian will be joining the Bianconerri.

According to Sky Sport, Italia Roma will be replacing the lanky striker with Napoli’s  Arkadiusz Milik. The Polish striker is reported to be joining the club on a season loan deal.

The development is following a breakdown in an agreement between Luis Suarez and the Serie A champions. The Uruguayan, who had reportedly be shown the exit door, may remain at the Camp Nou at least for another season.

It could be related to the situation surrounding the future of Lionel Messi, who had rescinded his decision to leave the Catalan club this summer.

The Argentine has a close relationship with Suarez, and they could continue their partnership next season.

Juventus is planning to replace departing Gonzalo Higuain, who is likely to join an MLS club. So, Dzeko will be replacing the Argentine striker while Milik will fill into his position with the Gialorossi.

The Italian media said the already agreed personal terms with Juve is worth €7.5m per season with bonuses. The transfer fee is also reportedly €15m.

Milik had not favoured a move to the Gialorossi, with Tottenham being linked as well. But he changed his mind after his agent had a five-hour meeting with the Rome club. This was held at the Trigoria training ground to resolve the doubts.

According to the Italian media, before moving to Roma on loan, Milik will be extending his contract with Napoli to June 2022. With that in place, he could join Roma with an option to buy as well.

The Gialorossi will be planning to spread the cost, which is €18m plus up to €7m in bonuses for over two seasons.

According to Sportitalia, two Roma youth players might be going to Napoli due to the deal as well. So, the move could be completed before the Serie A resumes this weekend.
