Bayern Leverkusen manager Peter Bosz has admitted to losing his star midfielder Kai Havertz in the summer for a fee of €100m.

The midfielder has been in great form for his side this campaign scoring eight goals so far as he has been pulling strings in midfield supplying the likes of Jamaican forward Leon Bailey upfront.

The German International has however been linked with various top clubs in Europe especially clubs from the Premier League and his manager [Peter Bosz] has admitted to him departing the club in the summer.

The manager revealed during n interview with a local news outlet that the club is aimed at developing young stars and selling them.  ” it will be quite challenging to hold on to Kai Havertz this coming season and it’s going to be a considerable transfer worth more than €100m”.

There has been news in various news outlet claiming the transfer fee will rise to €130m with bonuses also.  From the look of things, it is clear Leverkusen will use the proceeds from the sales of Havertz to fill up to three or four positions in the team as revealed by Bosz.

There have also been earlier reports that Bundesliga giants, Bayern Munich are willing to pay roughly half the price [€60m]. The Leverkusen outfit will not accept such quoted low fee because there have been a lot of competitors like PSG, Liverpool, Bayern and Barcelona are also looking to sign the 20-year old. But clubs like Real Madrid and Juventus have distanced themselves from the player due to the high wage demands by Leverkusen.

Havertz has helped his club turned things around as his all-round display helped his side defeat Rangers at Glasgow in the Europa League.
