AC Milan coach Stefano Pioli is aiming to continue the results the club has achieved since January 2020-21.
The Fiorentina coach has, therefore, asks for the right determination and concentration from his players to finish off positively in the second half of the championship.
AC Milan currently occupies the sixth spot in the Italia Serie, the qualifying spot for next year’s Europa League.
They will be hoping to keep hold of the position as they prepare to face Sampdoria at the Marassi tonight.
Pioli, who is wary of Claudio Ranieri’s men, said his team must face the reaming two Serie A games with the right determination and concentration.
Speaking at a press conference, the gaffer said the details would make the difference in the game, adding that they must be played with great respect.
While noting that Sampdoria that lost 2-0 to Serie A champions, Juventus gave them a lot of problems, Pioli admitted that they’re doing well as they are playing with ease, having reached their target, which was to remain in the Serie A next season.
Pioli, who also lauded Ranieri for doing a good job with a side, looking like getting relegated at a point in the season, said Milan would evaluate things once the final game has been played.
The coach further lauded his January signings Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Simon Kjaer ahead of the match for their immense influence.
Since the arrival of Ibra, the dressing room has seen some revival, and favourable results have been seen. It’s looking like Rosonerri might renew the contract of the 39-year-old Swedish for at least another year.
While speaking on the importance of Ibrahimovic to the squad in recent months, both on and off the pitch, Pioli admitted that the former PSG striker has improved the team in many ways on the pitch and gave them the solutions they didn’t have.
He added that the lanky striker creates a lot of space for his teammates to explore the opponents.
