FKF Premier League champions Tusker have begun a week-long pre-season camp in Mombasa as they begin their preparations for the CAF Champions League preliminary round matches which begin in a fortnight.
The brewers, who have signed four new players in defender Charles Momanyi, Harambee Stars goalkeeper Patrick Matasi and Tanzanian duo of Kalos Kirenge and Joshua Ibrahim; have also released 11 players.
Among those set free are former Gor Mahia forward George Odhiambo, Michael Madoya, Luke Namanda, Rodgers Aloro and Brian Marita.
Others are Faraj Ominde, custodian Robert Mboya, Sammy Meja, and Eric Ambunya.
Crispinus Onyango, Chris Ochieng and Eric Ambunya are the other players who have left the 12-time Premier League winners.
Tusker, drawn against Djibouti’s Artar Solar in the preliminary round of the Champions League, lost to national team Harambee Stars in a friendly match played in Nairobi on Saturday.
The team will play their first leg between September 10-12, with the return match scheduled for September 17-19.
