Therefore, he said the management’s next plan is to do everything to host the Champions League games in Bergamo.

Atalanta has been hosting their games in San Siro and Mapei Stadium – Città del Tricolore, which belong to Ac Milan and Sassuolo. They had lost their first three games, but won two remaining games and drew one against Manchester City, who will be meeting Lyon in the last four.

Gian Piero Gasperini was on the verge of progressing to the semi-final of the competition in their debut season, only to be pegged back by the Parisien with two goals in two minutes from  Marquinos and Maxim Choupo-Moting at the dearth.

Speaking with the club website, Percassi, who stated that there are several things to do, including construction works around the stadium, said the club is planning to improve the standard of the stadium and Zingonia.

To certify the stadium for games, a UEFA inspection team will on September 7 and 8 check the state of the work.

Expressing the confidence that they will meet the required standard, the president said the club is prepared.

Meanwhile, he also said that top clubs would be targeting their top player during the summer transfer window.

Percassi, who vowed that everything within the club’s power would be done to keep them unless there are offers they couldn’t resist.

Part of those expected to be targeted includes the striker, Duvan Zapata, and full-back Robin Goses. Both have been linked to Juventus, who wanted a center forward and a defender as they plan to start rebuilding their aging defense.

He further told SportMediaset that the club’s goal is to keep the best and integrate them with others.
