Bandari were forced to dig deep to maintain their top spot as the action resumed in the 2021-2022 FKF Premier League season, the dockers edging Bidco 3-2 in Thika over the weekend.
Saturday’s five-goal thriller ended in favour of Bandari as they stretched their lead of the log to six points.
Overal, only 13 goals in total were witnessed across the league’s seven matches played across the country.
Last season’s top marksmen – Erick Kapaito and Elvis Rupia – who scored a total of 41 goals between are missing from the local scene having migrated elsewhere for greener pastures. Kapaito, who notched 24 goals last season, moved to Ethiopia while Rupia left AFC Leopards for Qatar.
