Safety officers will fire off on 14 courses as a curtain-raiser for the International Defensive Pistol Association Africa championships, which kicks off on Thursday at the Kirigit Shooting Range in Kiambu.
The IDPA, the first of its kind to be staged in the country will bring together over 200 local and international shooters.
“The Covid-19 pandemic that has ravaged the world complicated preparations for the championship, but rest assured that all protocols regarding health matters will be adhered to as per government directives,” said NGAO-Kenya chairman Martin Chengo.
