Athletics Kenya’s Barnabas Korir, also a member of the event the Local Organizing Committee, says they will apply same criteria used in selecting the team, which is a 1-2 finish for an automatic ticket in every discipline with the third representative being picked by a panel of technical committee.

More than 128 countries have confirmed participation in the global showpiece, according to LOC boss Myke Rabar.

Rabar is confident that more countries will confirm participation as the dates of the global junior athletics competition draw closer.
