Kenya’s Malkia Strikers will have to wait for another two years to reclaim their glory after they lost 3-1 to Cameroon in the final of the FIVB African Nations Championships, which ended yesterday, in Rwanda.
The win in the final completed a double for Cameroon over Kenya and retain the African title.
Cameroon had defeated Malkia in straight sets in the first match of pool B.
This is the third time Kenya had successively lost to Cameroon with the West Africans, once again, denying the East African queens their record 10th continental title.
The two countries will represent Africa in next year’s World Championships to be co-hosted by Poland and Netherlands.
