Novak Djokovic’s bid to win all four Grand Slams in the same year is on and he next faces Olympic champion Alexander Zverev in Friday’s US Open semi-final.
Djokovic, the world number one, came from a set down to beat Italy’s Matteo Berrettini in the last eight, while Zverev, who beat Djokovic in July’s Olympic semi-finals, advanced in New York with victory over Lloyd Harris.
The first of the US Open men’s semi-finals will begin at 10.00pm (EAT) on Friday, with the second scheduled to start four hours later.
World number four Zverev, 24, beat South African Lloyd and seeks a first Grand Slam title, having finished runner-up at the 2020 US Open.
